Travis Tarr joined Meyer & Allen Associates in 2007, became an Associate in 2012 and now leads the firm’s Urban Design and Campus Planning division. He has a combined background in urban design and architecture, and brings a diverse range of experience to each planning project, covering city planning, urban design, transportation policy, and the long term environmental and economic performance of the urban environment. He is dedicated to the belief that public environments can be designed to meet the needs of clients, stakeholders, and the public at large.
Mr. Tarr has been leading the firm’s Los Angeles Unified School District’s Measure Q Master Planning effort which created roadmaps for the long term re-development of over 30 Elementary, Middle, High School, and Special Education campuses.
Mr. Tarr’s architectural experience ranges from medium and large scale academic facilities to multifamily residential developments. He has managed the site planning and conceptual development of numerous K-12 school projects for Meyer & Allen Associates and other firms. Most recently he has managed the design of Central Region Elementary School #20 for the Los Angeles Unified School District.
