San Bernardino County Center

Location:San Bernardino, CA
Size:160,000 sq. ft.
Awards: 1989 - AIA/Inland Empire Chapter Honor Award

The San Bernardino County Civic Center, designed to efficiently serve the public as well as elected officials, is a civic symbol.

Dramatically sited to provide the City with a much-needed focal point, and the County with a “capitol” for government administration, the building is organized to focus on 4th Street (both externally in its architectural composition and internally in its planning) and contains the offices of the Board of Supervisors, County Administrative Officer and County Counsel, a one-stop counter, Economic Development Departments, Board Hearing Chamber, and a restaurant with outdoor seating.

M&AA, in association with the Archiplan Collaborative, was responsible for all the architectural and engineering requirements of the building.
